Very common for a party or leader to enjoy a "honeymoon" period after a convention like the one they just went through. However, once some of his detractors in his own party start in on him, the media start examining the nuance of every word her mutters, and the Tories start pounding on him...
Have you ever watched a political convention before? This is done at ALL conventions, it's simple, jingoistic political rhetoric that all parties resort to. Put on the brave face and fire up the troops. The Tories did the exact same thing.

Well it looked more to me like the grassroots of the party actually took the day. The vast majority of the old political whores were lined up solidly behind Rae and Iggy, Dion came up the middle with nothing more then a couple of thousand "average" people.
Dis-regarding that silly idea, anybody have knowledge of the above statement?
From what I understood there were plenty of people stepping up to go, or is it just specific areas?

I know if I saw my wife come home half blown to smithereens, I would have a very hard time coping. Whether she was down street, or 10,000 miles away when it happened. But that's just me.

Never claimed to be an authority there partner, just someone with some empathy for all sides of this type of story. Sorry your attitude is based on stone age philosophy. (That's sarcasm).
I am sorry to hear you have PTSD. That's not sarcasm, I mean that.

I'm in no way mis-representing what you asked. You said "what is up with all the spouses claiming PTSD?". That's a pretty flippant remark, obviously inferring that it's a silly thought a spouse could get it.
Here's one definition from a mental health site:

That's ridiculous. I can't imagine what that poor guy or other guys that have been seriously injured are going through. I also cannot imagine what stress it must be on the spouses as well.
To infer that spouses may not suffer it because "well they're just at home, they're the spouse" is bogus...
Anyone familiar with the policy regarding participation in political activities by actively serving RCMP members?
For example can they hold office either federally, provincially or municipally? Or as a member of a riding executive?
Thanks,

Dude,
The combined experience in years here would be in the thousands and the combined responsibilities endless.....you need to be more specific as to what info you are looking for.

Due to my, ahem (let's call it......maturity) I had to submit some additional paperwork as part of my medical package. It took just under three weeks to come back.
Relax, it'll be done as soon as they can get it done. Just keep in touch with your recruiter.
Good luck.
