Don't hold back Tom, tell us what you really think ;)

That’s not how those offences apply. We’ve discussed this previously:

That’s just silly theatrics. If a governor were individually and directly harbouring an illegal alien, that would absolutely meet the elements of the offence enumerated under Title 8 U.S. Code, section 1324. It would not, however, subject them to criminal liability for being in a political leadership role in states that have legislation or regulation wherein they won’t provide any assistance at state level to certain immigration enforcement.

If Mr. Homan wants to threaten governors with Offences pertaining to illegal aliens, he should be live to the fact that that same section, in subsection (a)(1)(A)(ii), establishes as an offence, “knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise, in furtherance of such violation of law”. A subsequent section includes any conspiracy to that end. This hearkens back to at least one Governor who was compelling illegal migrants to get on planes and/or buses and sending them up to other states.

The applicable section of U.S. law is here: 8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Bringing in and harboring certain aliens

That country will fracture well before ours does…
One hopes it does not take neighbours with it, but yes.

The US isn't in imminent danger of becoming some authoritarian playground.

I suggest you look at Musk's DOGE people going into agencies to get access to classified documents, including peoples' social security info, etc., without having any clearance, and when confronted by the people who are tasked with protecting that information, having Trump's cronies remove them and fire them. I hate to make the analogy, but a private little gang of people above the law terrorizing people who are actually doing their job in order to gain info and control by fear over other people's lives for political/doctrinal reasons is exactly how the Gestapo came to be.

Trump? The guy is dangerous…to his country…to ours…and to the world. Simply because he has an overwhelming mandate given to him by the U.S. electorate doesn’t make him a great leader.

Harris got 75 million votes.

Trump got 77 million votes.

Not much more popular than Kamala Harris.

Yep, and those 75 million was only 49.8% due to the other hangers on. Just because he had some clever people do coke rush things in the swing states doesn’t actually make it a landslide.

How happy were people that Butts congratulated the liberal back room team on picking the right few southern Ontario tidings a doing clever things to swing them Liberal in the last election?

Oh, and a final question… for all those that think the WEF is a giant conspiracy. If the core tenet of the WEF is that we need to cede power to a few oligarchs because only they know what is good for us, why is it ok that we’ve given a few oligarchs access to tremendous power in the US? Is it simply because they are different oligarchs (the seemingly creepier more powerful ones)?
