I'm currently posted to CFB Gagetown, in line for the next Inf O training phases. Even in ideal conditions, assuming I pass all my courses in one go, which is far from guaranteed, I'm still going to be here for at least a year and half.
So, I was wondering whether it'd be worth it to switch my residency from Quebec to New Brunswick? As far as I know, taxes, vehicle registration, driving license fees are considerably lower here than in Quebec. On the other hand, car insurance is much higher due to lack of public auto insurance. Also, getting a motorcycle license here in NB is fairly straightforward and low-cost, whereas it's a nightmare in QC. Overall, I'd like to know if the benefits overweigh the disadvantages.
On my end, I'm single, have no dependants and listed my parents' house in Gatineau, QC as my main home residence.
