    25mm TOC 0901 pictures

These were all taken at CFB Gagetown.  We have had a rather snowy year down here.  Between range days we got buried with something like 17cm of snow in one night.  On the upside it made range clean up easy, by the time we got back to the pad a plow had pushed all our salvage god knows where... ...

Burgers and massages in the middle of the desert

We actually did a lot of the heavy lifting for the tour at least at CNS where we were.  Unloading trucks and light construction tasks, even had guys on kitchen duty occasionally.  Anything handy-manish we generally took care of as our wood butcher was about as overworked as one man could be.  If...

Burgers and massages in the middle of the desert

On Roto IV at the PRT FP Coy they clawed them back from anyone under the rank of MCpl.  You can't imagine what it did to morale when we got lectures from a clerk wearing a pistol and my driver and gunner are stuck with C7's in a nyala.  I am not saying that clerks don't deserve them, just not at...

"The stuff the army issues is useless" and "no non-issue kit over seas!"

Oh wow dude... this is really unnecessary.  The issued stuff is going to be the only thing you are allowed and really does the job anyway.  Despite some of the more forward thinking peoples attitude to boots and some rigs people have zero sense of humour about armour.  Especially hanging out of...

Michael Den Tandt - In Afghanistan Blog

I had the pleasure of sitting down for a little chat with Mr Den Tandt when he was here at the PRT.  Being one of the few people who did some time in Meaford made me the closest thing to a local he could find.  Great guy, straight forward, seemed very interested and enthusiastic.  For what its...

Canada eyeing reservists to bolster force in Afghanistan

I should preface this by saying FusMR is in my direct chain of command... I think what FusMR means is that we weren't allowed to be relegated to shit jobs and lack luster training.  Our Coy staff was insistant (as was the General) that we we're part of the team, not just another Gate Guard...

    A Black Mark

Wrong. The second charge was offered as an alternate to the first.  Meaning the court could try him on the catch all 129 if there was not enough evidence to support the primary charge, as the requirement to prove conduct prejudice to the good order and discipline is much easier to meet.  This...

You missed.  The forum you are looking for is www.breakthesilence.com Me personally, I like the poetry.  Nothing says insanity like poetry backed political discourse. Next time you want to ask us about the American take over and institution of the draft in between tactical nuclear strikes...
