So I'm sitting at work as we speak and a buddy of mine in training resource needs to know the weight of the M203 round on a individual basis.. And no it is not in the Pam according to To the person looking.

I stae I need the weight of the round not the M203 weapon

According to the american army field manual (FM 23-31 Chapter 3 http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/23-31/f2331_4.htm#REF10h2 )

b. Ammunition.

     Caliber.........................................40 mm
     Weight..........................................227 grams (8 ounces)
                                                      (approximately)

I used to have a table that broke it down for the different rounds.  I can hunt around on old cd's if thats not good enough ...

Up the Guards!

EDIT (if you scroll down the page it takes you round by round in pictures telling weight and other characteristics.  serves me right for not reading my own references all the way through)

Have you tried looking on the DIN under Documentum? Lots of info there.

To put it into perspective, 16 Ounces is 1 pound, so 8 ounces is 1/2 a pound...

So if you carry x number of rounds, double that and there's your total weight.

Joe

All I needed was the individual rounds weight...it for something other then having to carry it...well OK eventually it's about having to carry it just not that second.

Deh hooked me up and for that I thank him...You da Man Deh!
