PRT Force Protection Company and Reserve Augmentation

Does anyone know what the actual role of Reserve force pers assigned to the PRT FP Coy is? As in how are they being augmented?

For example with 3-08, a portion of the Coy will be from a mechanized reg force unit, but again what is the fate of the Res Pers in the grand scheme of things?

Info from those who have done PRT FP on previous rotos or info from those involved in the PRT/FP Coy for any of the upcoming rotos would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you will be assimilated into the reg force sections.

I'm on work up for the job right now. It's currently gate guard for Nathan Smith, takeing over the slack for the MP's having left the PRT (ie driving their Nyala's in PRT patrols / convoy escort jobs), and filling into the LAV platoons when HLTA picks them apart. But yeah, more gate then anything else is what we're being told.

I am currently a section second in command in the FP Coy D&S  Platoon at the KPRT (ROTO 4).  If you have any specific questions you want answered or what have you feel free to PM me.  Keep in mind I can only tell you what it is we are doing at the moment, I am sure your CoC will have other (probably similar) ideas.  I am not sure our taskings and schedule and what have you should be posted in a public forum.  If not, see you at the handover, I'll be the criss d'anglais showing you the ropes.

Under all circumstances please remember to maintain OPSEC and PERSEC.  If you are in the slightest bit uncertain as to whether something should be disclosed over the internet, don't do it.

These means are open to the public... which can include friendlies, neutrals, and enemies.  And you cannot always tell the difference between them.

Maintin security of all operational information, no matter how trivial it may appear to you.  And maintain security of personal information, both your own and that of the soldiers you serve with.
