The War in Ukraine

3000 troops from NK allegedly in training for deployment to the war. Surely this means 3000 NATO troops getting deployed on security tasks in Western Ukraine is cool by Putin, right?
Didn't France announce they are sending more Soldiers to Ukraine for training and defensive reasons?

I suspect the number is actually higher.
We/the West should be sending Ukraine a metric ass ton of mini-guns for the upcoming meat waves.

Maybe Dillon has a ground 'drone' mount. A midsized tracked unmanned platform with a pair of M-134 each sweeping a 100 degree slightly overlapping arc forwards and the bulk of the payload being linked 7.62. Would be a whole new type of drive-by.

Some time back I saw a YouTube video of a quad mounted M 134's on an old M 45 Maxon mount.
Think it might come in handy ?

Forget the M134s, too wasteful. Good ole fashioned Ma Deuces on a quad mount are plenty. The Krautmower might actually be a great anti-drone/anti infantry system with some sort of updated FCS. :)

One light infantry unit that’s part of the initial Transformation in Contact cohort, the 10th Mountain Division’s 3rd Brigade, is drawing directly from Ukraine for its new “Strike” Company, said Lt. Gen. Charles Costanza, commander of Army V Corps.

That unit, which links drone operators to mortars, artillery, and loitering munitions, is “coming straight out of watching what's going on in Ukraine,” he said.

....

Manoeuvre solution

Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian troops have underscored the need to make command posts harder for enemy forces to find.

Even before being designated for the TiC effort, the 2nd Cavalry Regiment was working to slim down its command posts,

Position solution

Ragin said he recently asked several senior Ukrainian officers what they would have done differently before the war.

He said the Ukrainians recommended investing in ammunition production and stockpiles and in creating multiple locations for maintaining equipment. They also recommended creating hardened storage and command-and-control infrastructure.

Saying a country who was invaded that they should “never have let the war start” is like saying to someone that was sexually harassed/assaulted that they shouldn’t have dressed that way.
Well you saw what David Bautista thinks of him right?

Plus both Gen’s Millie and Mattis believe he’s about the worst human being on the planet. Neither of whom where Democrats.

More M1A1’s this time from Australia
Not sure if that article called out the actual number of M1A1's being sent, but 16 Oct ISW daily update stated that it would be 49 M1A1's being sent. That's a very decent number of tanks.

You find this discussion interesting

So yes.

Even with good use of Tx and Rx windows with the next communication window time as part of the data, there is a significant vulnerability with the chat room concept - security and difficulty to break the encryption of messages being bounced down from the satellite. Think what happened to the Russians who extensively used Telegram and had no backup when the security became compromised by the founder defecting to France in exchange for the encryption algorithm (pure logical conjecture of course on my part based on what can be gleaned from OSINT and changes in battlespace coordination seen).

Now if DOD has their own system, not one leased from a private company (like X or Starlink etc.) that security will be a lot harder to compromise...
