RMC/ROTP 2025-2026

I'm getting a little worried... RMC said applications for ROTP close on the 31st, and my interview is the 28th. I see this and I see y'all so far ahead and it feels like I'm too far behind. By deadline for ROTP do they mean the application for RMC itself or the whole forces process?

Does anyone have any insight on how long each subsequent step after the interview takes?

I hope I can get in before the start of May because I already am accepted to 3 other universities and need to decide by then. The last thing I need is a hold up.
Deadline on January 31st is the deadline to apply. Offers for ROTP and RMC go out till June. They just urge us to apply way earlier than that because of how slow everything moves.
Last time I emailed them RMC said they are aware of university offers and their deadlines to accept, so most likely all offers will be given out before June 2nd.
For the record June 2nd is the deadline to accept uni offers, at least in Ontario.

The acceptances I have all require a decision by the first half of May: U of C and U of A are 1 May, and Dalhousie is 15 May.

Oh, I see, my bad. I doubt this will become a problem for you as you will have completed every stage of testing for your application before the 31st, which is still really early compared to a lot of applicants, so if you have a decently competitive application you'll probably get in by April latest.

Anybody got offers yet? RMC Admissions registrar said ROTP offers are given every 2 weeks while regular decision comes out Mar - Apr. I haven't heard about the 2-week thing from my recruitment centre at all and was only told early admissions would be around Jan / Feb

Nothing as of yet, online says I'm selected but no phone calls/emails about any offers. Heard that a wave of offers got sent out a while earlier and the next one is around Feb 15. Idk how long it takes for Borden to make an offer but hopefully it wont be too long lol

Thanks. Just emailed the MCC and he told me my file was deemed suitable for the Jan / Feb selection board. Hopefully I will hear back soon. He informed me that an applicant is only placed on the competition list AFTER an RMC offer is given, and that an RMC offer essentially guarantees you a spot for your trade, effectively selecting you from the competition list. Hopefully this means you got in :)

I was told by my recruiter that "RMC has already found you suitable for admission into an arts program" but I haven't done my interview yet. I wonder if this means the same thing.

Not sure if this means you got an offer or if you were found suitable for the selection board (as in you meet the requirements to apply). Either way, it's good news! Good luck on your interview

When'd you get your RMC application in?

Oh same. How'd you find out? Did you just ask or did you get an email or something?
I emailed the recruiting center and asked them when I'd get an interview and medical and then they just told me RMC had found me suitable for admission. Now that I think about it it likely just means I met the minimum standards.

How long does the security clearance take? They’ve been running that for me for over a month lol
I'm really worried about this too. I immigrated to Canada four years ago and only became a citizen a year ago, so my security clearance might take way longer from what I've heard.

Sharing some personal experiences... I moved here 2016 and obtained citizenship Apr 2023. My DND staffing process began May 2023 and my security clearance was approved 27 Jun 2023. I don't think you need to worry too much!

Seems like the security clearance actually takes a while. I’ve been on it a bit over a month now despite living in Canada my entire life. They might have taken a break during Christmas tho

Not sure if CFRC does but block leave was 4 weeks during the winter. When did you finish your validation info / sign your security screening form? Shouldn't be that long. I'm not sure if they actually tell you that your RS gets approved or not or if they just proceed with the next step of the recruiting process

December 19. They told me they would contact me as soon as the security clearance is finished
