Metro's finest doing their usual fine work in 1958.​

My uncle was on the Metro force back then.

Trivia:

1958 was an interesting year in Toronto policing.

The 13 police forces in Metro had only been amalgamated the year before.

In the summer of 1958 ( this appear to have been filmed in the summer of that year ), the chief drove to High Park, parked his car, and committed suicide with his service revolver.

With amalgamation, the force grew in size and complexity, and XXX found himself unable to manage the huge agency and its Byzantine politics.
