LPC leadership race - 2025

Carney is polling well in Quebec for some reason, and liberal fortunes are neck and neck in the GTA with the CPC, so it could swing either way
I mentioned this earlier. Joly and Champagne went on Tout Le monde en parle. They hit a chord. That is the premiere show to go on if you want to get your message out. jack Layton did it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any conservative politician besides O’toole do that show and he gained support there when he did.

seat count? I got you, someone already ran that data

even if you reversed the Liberal and Conservative totals thats a huge swing. The collapse of the NDP here is probably part of the answer. Again why NDP voters would switch to Liberal over Carney vs Trudeau? Just speaks to the disintegration of the Trudeau brand

I didn’t even look at the NDP numbers but you’re right.

The problem is that the CPC is a victim of its own success. They made it all about Trudeau. Heck with him stepping down they are still making it about him.
Well I think their position is pretty clear...if we get rid of Trudeau it removes a huge barrier to solving some major national problems.

And he hasn't stepped down yet. He's still calling and hosting economic summits in Toronto, is using his power as PM to prorogue parliament during a time when all of our MP's need to be on hand due to some massive economic shifts, and is still mouthing off about Trump publically while holding the nation's highest political office.

He hasn't stepped down until someone else is PM. And right now, it's still him...just with less opposition during a time of great consequence than there usually would be.

I don't think the CPC has made it all about Trudeau. While Trudeau is the physical representation of the problems he's caused for us as a country, the CPC knows full it'll take YEARS of steady, moderate, fiscally stingy leadership to get this country in the same financial shape we were in prior to Captain Money Laundering & Gang came in

The conservative have made their entire identity for last 9 year as anti Trudeau. Trudeau Government, Trudeau Carbon Tax, Trudeau caused all the problems etc.

Hell a whole industry have formed for Anti Trudeau.
An industry? I'm not so sure...

People who loved growing up in the nation of Canada though, and who aren't keen to see their country deliberately destroyed by a cabal of globalists wanting a world of post-nation states so they can line their pockets & control basically everything? Yes...

It isn't just about Trudeau. It's what Trudeau represents. And Carney is going to be a lot worse...

Canada is Charlie Brown. Lucy is the LPC.
Fail Charlie Brown GIF by Peanuts

Politically speaking, Canadians by and large are morons. (Obviously this is my own opinion)

You absolutely WOULD think that Canadians would be clamoring for change after the last decade that's completely decimated our country in almost every single way.

But yet, despite all the information being out there, willful ignorance has them snubbing or fearing the very candidate that seems genuinely interested in doing what's best for the country.
Then you’re saying that all the aggregate polling since last summer showing the CPC leading has been tapping said pool of morons?

I will at least say this about the polls (as much as its been good news for a year or so), I don't 100% trust them. Even Warren Kinsella warns they are not 100% accurate.

Right now, we are seeing some very different polling from the pollsters. Some noticeable outliers.

What seemed to be outliers a week or two ago now appear to have simply been the early predictors of a shift in trend.

Singh should have pulled the plug when he had the chance. Say bye bye to the NDP as a factor
