Liberal Minority Government 2021 - ????

She knows her shit and was well respected in challenging portfolios, including procurement and defence, by people I know (and trust) who are senior enough in the military to have a clue on those things. Whether in government or opposition, she’s a knowledgeable and mature voice at the table.
Middle management had a lot of respect for her as well. We didn't see a lot actually get done but it was obvious she was trying honestly and it was a bit of a piss-off when she got shuffled off for...<checks notes>... having the best interests of the military in mind instead of being a lacky for the PMO.

I wonder how much of the RCAF's very good year 2023-2024 was the result of her staff work and plodding through the puzzle palace to replace over 200 RCAF aircraft.

What is Trudeau doing? Should Canada Cut Quebec’s Transfer Payments Over Pipeline Standoff

What is Trudeau doing?

I agree Canadians need to put to bed this back and forth and elect a new Gov. Either way it goes Canadians need to have their say.

People need to realize that most voting people under 30, and a huge percentage of immigrants, hate Canada and the Liberals do too. They don't want it to be what it used to be, they don't want it to be what it is, and they intend to dismantle it. If you are over 40, the country you grew up in is dead. Done. It's because that's what the majority wants, Canadians by and large hate Canada.

"Who cares man, wealth is immoral and carbon tax will save the world."
-Canadians

The same thing has been happening in the US and is the very thing that's creating the authoritarian nationalism we're seeing as a response. The only real difference is that in the US there are still more people who want it to keep it as-is, rather than change it.

Are you under 30? Because that was one of the dumbest proclamations you've made to date. I am under 30, not one of my peers or friends want to destroy Canada, across the political spectrum. Not my hockey buddies, baseball buddies, university colleagues, homeless shelter volunteering peers, army buddies, school friends, Church friends or my young neighbours. You hate your own country so much you're projecting your own insecurities and hatred onto a generation of people trying to live their life who are experiencing unique challenges we haven't seen in a long time.

These problems began a long time before this current government.

You've been living under a rock. Immigration, Cost of living, taxes, housing (not to this extent), are all self-inflicted problems canadians created through their choices on the ballot. Nice socks though.

These problems began a long time before this current government. Housing being made a commodity goes back decades
Housing was always a commodity. The problem is bringing in too many people (more than the historic average of 100-250k a year) which our systems aren’t designed to cope with.

We brought in averaged at least 440k a year for the last decade. Of course we have a housing crisis when all our systems were designed around half that. And that doesn’t even account for the lack of tradespeople currently available due to our poor education system.

Continues to tighten.

My guess is that will change once the LPC leader is in place and an election is declared, Any gains could easily be wiped out once a campaign is in full effect.

But the Trump effect will still be in full force I think.

The CPC and PP will have to be sure to push hard that they are not American Republicans and will always put Canada first.
