July 2024: Two GTA men arrested, charged with terrorism linked to ISIS

FYI Deportation is a thing not only for cases like this, but lesser crimes. We have deported at least two to Somalia.....one to Australia and a few others I cannot recall the details on. And this is from a small jail in Manitoba.
Yup- “serious criminality”; generally means either actually sentenced to six months or more in custody, or convicted of an offense that carries a maximum of at least ten years, regardless of what sentence you actually get.

These guys. I don’t care where they go, just get them the hell out of Canada.

The immigration interview of questionable applicants should be done by a woman wearing a tank top and lulu lemon shorts and the applicants reaction will surely indicate their suitability of becoming a citizen of Canada.
Drop them at the 10mile mark somewhere in the North Atlantic, preferably in the October to Feb time frame…

In a tank top and Lululemon pants.

Then quote Bill Cosby’s Noah ‘how long can you tread water’.

Save the Lulus please, won't anyone think of the Lulus? Woe is me!!

But how many more security risks have been let it? Half of what has been identified plus whatever goes unnoticed.

Honest question: So if an organization is designated a terrorist organization after some of its members have already been allowed in (because it wasn’t designated then), do those get counted in the stats as “Canada allows terrorists in”, or not?

From the article:

If an officer determines that an applicant is inadmissible to Canada on serious grounds such as violating human rights or organized crime, an exemption can be granted if “it is deemed that the entry of this person is in Canada’s interest,” she said.

Some thing about turd and clean end comes to mind.

The US Space Program comes to mind.

Would diplomats or their families/staff be subject to that as well? Or does diplomatic immunity cover it?

Well, it looks like SOMEONE gets it (at last?) ....
What draws my eye is this (highlight mine):

As others smarter than me have said in other threads, prepare to throw bureaucrats under the bus? Whatever happened to "buck stops with me, we'll get 'er done"? I know, paint me naive, right?

Haven't seen any public info re: any other citizenships the father may hold, only that as of yesterday, police are still trying to confirm the son's staus.
I suspect if father has no other citizenship (if he was born here), we may be SOL about revoking, but I await the results of the digging. More'll likely come out during the hearings, I suspect.

Also, a bit more about how Canada found out

If he was born here, citizenship cannot be revoked. Revocation only applies to citizenship that has been granted by legislation, not inherent by birthright.

I suspect that if any failings are to be uncovered, no one will be held accountable, even if 'names are named'.

Does that about sum it up?

A bit more coming out re: the timeline ....
Archived link to the National Post piece also here if previous link doesn't work.

If convicted, then jail, then revocation of citizenship based on prior ineligibility, then deportation to AFG.

If not convicted, then revocation of citizenship and deportation.

Either way, neither of these clowns should be here.
