2025 Ontario Election

If she is saying that then she’s in denial.

The mandate exists. If Ontario wanted something different they would have bothered to show up at the polls. I always interpret voter apathy with being mostly fine with what is in place.
Calling this election a “yellow light” was a bit dramatic on her part.

Not sure about you G2G, but I felt a bit dirty having to reconcile voting provincially with the choice of local candidate on the ballot. But one has to do what one has to do lol.

She's just doing her job as part of the taxpayer funded Federal Liberal Government's policy machine ;)

Wasn’t too hard to vote last night. Expected results. My wife and I cancelled out each others vote lol.

I will be interested to see what the voter turnout looked like.
Green and Communist?

I don’t have an issue with May candidate as I’ve provided him feedback and seen positive actions from him when he was a city councilor. In previous iterations of life in the NCR, I felt a notably less responsive representation, so I’m good, so long as he continues to maintain the participative/consultative manner he didn’t the municipal level.

Not the biggest fan of his. But he wasn’t my councillor. Just his teams calls while driving, and trying to go after a police officer because his wife said things on Facebook, convoy stuff (I blame the whole council at that time for that shit show).

He’s a step up from Goldie. Sometimes you have to choose the crab juice over the Mountain Dew though so he got my vote.

You can use crab juice to make a good Caeser.

Mountain Dew just makes you a fat American ;)

My thoughts exactly. If voters couldn’t be arsed to go vote, it’s probably because they don’t mind how things are going, but don’t care enough about the governing party to vote for it, nor are they jazzed about the opposition to get out and vote for them. Only the diehard partisans and civics-minded voters show up.

I don't really follow the numbers but the one that jumped out at me was Parry Sound - Muskoka. That riding has been Blue since pretty much forever and the incumbent is a Cabinet member, former major of Bracebridge and enjoys a fairly high profile, but that was a comparatively razor think margin.

Still a far cry from our toxic, vehicular menace of a past-GG…
