All depends on which part of ATESS you're working in. ATESS is an enormous entity here, with a ton of different shops. If you want to PM me with your posting date and if it says anything besides 'ATESS' on your posting message, I can see if I can find anything out for you.

I was civvie qualified on the 205-series helicopters, and as soon as I was done my time in Borden, I was posted on the C130.  So even if you're qualified on that actual airframe, doesn't mean they'll put you on it.  It's a crapshoot, really.

Which part of 8AMS are you posted to?  Does your message say 8AMS exactly, or something else?  I only ask because 8AMS isn't doing first line maintenance any more.  People at 8AMS are now doing third line stuff - C-checks is what they're calling it, but they are starting that in a year.  Right...
