I like how I never said anything about patrol MP laying the charges..... But the inability for Detatchment MP to lay charges is a different conversation that has been covered repeatedly. But hey thanks for the lesson.... /end sarcasm
Reviewing this post and the attached case law matters I was wondering. Why is it always harped on MP to use the CDS 99.9% of the time offences occurred involving a service member. Not all offences are detrimental to the discipline or maintenance of the unit/CF. Seems that this day and age...
No. Unless during your investigation something causes you to think there is a criminal or NDA offence occurred, stop caution and carry on. Where are you being told that you need to charter/caution?
Habs,
I put in my CT in March of 2009. My MPAC wasn't until November of 2009 and then I didn't get told I was selected until July of 2010. CT is a very long process to go through for MP. Don't be surprised to hear absolutely nothing until the week or so before MPAC and then not hear...

I have a question in line with postings...... What happens if the base your posted to has no available PMQ's? What accommodations can be provided for my family until a PMQ becomes available? Buying a house is not a viable option any time in the near future. I've been in for a few years now...
So I'm taking myself the wife and kids to Richmond BC from Edmonton. However, whats the best way there? A nice balance between time and fuel. I'm doing the trip in one long haul not stopping for the night anywhere. Anyone?
I would do some mechanized however, I would do the basics as well ( I know I know its the tired but true "Back to the Basics") cause something as simple as keeping proper spacing during a patrol can save lives ( I can think of one incident where my buddy said that proper spacing during a patrol...
Just got back from 1-08. One of the best peices of kit that I got was the Camelbak Backpack. Pick it up at the PX. Once I had mine I never used the day bag again, the best part..... With some playing around you can fit another 3 Liter bladder into it as well, that means 6 liters without...
Tell me about it the family and I are trying to get a PMQ right now and were 71st on the list (before posting season with 100% occupancy rate). I know that my buddies that live in the SQ are trying to snag any single rooms that come up. Good Luck!
You know what really caught my eye, anyone read an articvle in the maple leaf about 5-6 months ago about the kid, 17 years old I believe, from St. Albert that created the new body armour. Supposidly weight 18lbs and was standing up to shots from high powered rifles. I'd like to see what...
I'll check I have 512MB of RAM and a NVIDIA older video card kickin around let me check but its yours for free (but you'll have to pay postage I'm in edmonton)
I picked up a cheap gerber ($14) after my issued one was destroyed and so far this year it has survived A long cold trip in the Arctic and 5 Exercises this year. So far it seems that it works better for me than anything else. My issue gerber is now packed in the ruck as a back up.
Well I just got back from ex and my roommate (as I was on rear party) told me that the Sgt. Major asked him to pass onto me to be sure my kit is top knotch after March break as I am going up on my charge as soon as I get back. I asked the mods to lock this thread, anyone who want to know what...
Thanks for the replys. I thought that I made it clear in my intial post that I was admiting guilt. The round was fired under control in a safe direction. We were taught our proper drills and did our TOETs. However we were never taught how to do a hard extraction (which this seems to be). ...
