It is true that Universities are like this and I do not agree that they should. Schools have gone from a market place of ideas to promoting social change based on an ideology. The definition of an organisation that promotes social change is a political party, but thats a whole new topic.

Should be interesting to see what they have produced this time. They just made one last year, so I am surprised that a new one has been made already.
Afghanistan has the potential for increasing its agricultural output. The Kandahar region used to have a very extensive irrigation network and was known for producing great fruit. It was only destroyed during the Soviet invasion of the 1980s because the mujaheddin were using the area for cover...
Well fair enough, thats what I suspected. I was just curious if it had any other advantages. Also in Afghanistan we don't have our own CAS, so this would gives an opportunity of doing the equivalent which ends up being much cheaper than deploying the hornet and offsetting the cost of the...
The only situation I could see it being used in, is when air support is unavailable and a precise target needs to be hit. The cost of a JDAM, which does the same thing costs 22000$ plus aircraft operating costs. Although it is has a smaller explosive charge than the 500 lbs JDAM (which was the...
No one voice here is the representation of the CF. People have posted what the CF aims are. This forum is not the military, but simply a place were military orientated people can discuss thing pertaining to the CF.
Count me in. I can't miss an opportunity to go drinking in celebration of such a fantastic element of the Canadian Forces (and in my opinion the best one, but I'm biased ;D).
You are entirely correct, in fact the CBC is going to start releasing HD programming through torrents. This is a first for North America. Their mandate is to provide tax payers with access to media through the most efficient means possible because of the use of public funds. So the same thing...
Before we get too far off topic, let me say this. You are taking what I said the wrong way. I'm simply trying to get across the fact that anyone with detailed knowledge is not going to share. That is fine that your MOC is that, I never judge anyones intelligence based on what they do so please...
I would share what I know, but then I do not want to break OP SEC. Thats why I say those who know are sitting back. I'm not trying to pick on anyone and I'm not even saying some people are wrong or right. Thats why its remaining at speculation, because there are people in the know and probably...
I personally love speculation from all the "experts," on what Canada will do with the Griffon. Those who know are just sitting back and chuckling to themselves while reading these types of threads.
Its your call. You can go to RMC or you can stay at U of T, finish your degree and go DEO later on. Ultimately it is which ever you think will be in your best interest.
I say offer them back ROTP at U of T. That way you don't have to redo first year. I was in the same situation, but they gave me a choice to stay or do RMC.
I've played America's Army and you actually have to sit through several first aid lesson's if you want to be a medic in that game. It is about the equivalent of a power point presentation. It is not a replacement for actual training, but I can see how it would help someone out.
On the radio this morning I heard he petitioned for this. As far as I know it is against regs for a CF member to petition (QR&0 19.10). It may have been a bad choice of words by the CBC, but if not I'm wondering why he is not being charged.
Admit it, you love having me around
Well, I'm not going to hold out any hope that we would get something better in terms of a ground support role. The forces will step over a dollar to save a dime. I'm not saying its the best option, but I guess it is better than nothing.
