Years in the Army

Alright, i have a question. What is the minimum amount of years you can be in the army? I'm going to join the reserves for a year (maybe two), than i'll be going into the regular forces. But a friend of mine (whom i want to join the army with) is a few years behind me in high school. So i was curious if i could, theoretically, join for a year or two, than take some time off to get my friend suited for the army, than join again.

Is that possible? Thanks for the advice.

Just out of curiousity, why do you want to join with your friend?  Even if you submitted your applications at the exact same time, there's no guarantee you'll be training together, and when you're done training there's no guarantee you'll be working together.

It seems you need to do some time READING first.  There are topics on this and it seems you were pointed in that direction before:

If you're going into the reserves, there is no minimum time - you're advised to talk to a recruiter near you for the best answers, though.

So instead of adding articles to the wiki about every horse the RCD ever had in the stable, why not create pages on some of that stuff instead? Would probably be more worthwhile.  :)

because the info is already here. Duplication of effort is not progress.
