Where to donate books? Or does anybody want these?

LCC is Learning and Career Centre (or something similar.)  You're right about MFRC. 

Last time I had a bunch of unwanted books, I just...."donated" them to the local library.  As in I just dumped them in their inbox and walked away.  It was a long time ago though.

I know that the LCC here at Borden does have a lending library for defense team members to use.  The base also has a library that may also be interested.  The books are on pretty general subjects so I'd imagine they could still be put to good use.

I also tried once to donate some books to a local library with poor results.
I was told they couldn't use them in the library due to copy-write & other rules they are subject to.
Basically they have to pay the publishers a premium to be able to have the books in the library. They just can't buy books off the shelf at the local book store or use books that were bought this way.
