At this point I would think Swift would be a better President than either of them. Might put a crimp in her concert tours though.Well obviously #Swift2024

Honestly a Clooney/Swift ticket would be better than what we have no from either party - and I don’t think either of those are great choices either. At this point I would think Swift would be a better President than either of them. Might put a crimp in her concert tours though.

One law prof saying he's not convicted until sentencing, Reuters says he's "convicted", and NY State Criminal Procedure Law Code says this ....
Donald Trump Isn't A Convicted Felon Just Yet And Can Still Pursue These Options To Fight Damning Verdict, Says Yale Law Professor

A Yale Law professor suggested an alternative strategy for former President Donald Trump‘s legal team following his recent guilty verdict.
What Happened: In a new podcast, Professor Jed Rubenfeld discussed the former president’s legal options after a New York jury found him guilty of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
Rubenfeld emphasized that Trump is not yet a convicted felon because the judge has not entered a judgment of guilt. He explained that in New York, this judgment is expected to be entered on July 11, the same day as Trump’s sentencing.

What happens now after Donald Trump's guilty verdict?
NEW YORK, June 3 (Reuters) - Donald Trump, the first former U.S. president to be convicted of a crime, will remain a free man while he awaits sentencing and could avoid a prison term entirely for falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to a porn star.
Here is a look at what’s next for the Republican candidate for president against Democratic President Joe Biden in a Nov. 5 election.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
The judge presiding over the case, Juan Merchan, must first approve the verdict and enter a final judgment, though this is typically a formality.
... and the DA says this... The court must pronounce sentence in every case where a conviction is entered. If an accusatory instrument contains multiple counts and a conviction is entered on more than one count the court must pronounce sentence on each count ...
Last minute pardon for Hunter before Biden scoots off?The cynic in me wonders why this took so long. Odd this took till just after POTUS announced he wasn’t running for reelection…

Are you suggesting that in an election campaign that has already seen one assassination attempt against a candidate that the Dems shouldn't take security seriously at their convention?
One level of security for them; another level of security for the nation. They should take both seriously, which is the issue highlighted. Are you suggesting that in an election campaign that has already seen one assassination attempt against a candidate that the Dems shouldn't take security seriously at their convention?
Apply what you just said to the northern and southern border. Don't forget to roll in all the US citizens that have been murdered, raped, killed by fentanyl and the thousands of children that are now in the human trafficking pipeline. Or do they not count because they aren't politicians? Politicians are there to protect the country and its citizens, even to the detriment of themselves. They are not there to place their needs above that of the nation. Are you suggesting that in an election campaign that has already seen one assassination attempt against a candidate that the Dems shouldn't take security seriously at their convention?
I can't imagine a Clooney/Swift administration dealing with Iran, Russia, or China... or tackling border security. Those fours years would would be a popularity contest with unicorn farts and fantasy and we'd all be in worse place.
And how would evaluating the potential of a (highly improbable) celebrity presidential ticket be any different than the last untested entertainment celebrity with no prior political or diplomatic experience who ran for president? At least these two haven't put any of their (non-entertainment) businesses into bankruptcy and they didn't start with a multi-million dollar nest egg. And according to reports, one of them became a billionaire due to her own talents (both performance and business) in her early thirties; the individual who's resorted to using a meme to suggest the young businesswoman's endorsement was into his mid to late forties before it was acknowledged that he may have entered the ranks of billionaires.
You’d be looking at the wrong things that have made her into the brand that she is if that is all you think it is. She has been far more successful in business than Trump could ever hope to be at that age.I wouldn't rate natural singing talent and beauty as an important marker for national leadership, but you do you.

She would enter politics with as much experience as Trump did…
Well it would be better than a sex offender and philandering jerk cough cough Bill ClintonI wouldn't rate natural singing talent and beauty as an important marker for national leadership, but you do you.
And Donald Trump obviously unless these ethical standards are just for Democrats to aspire too? Noting this in context of the dncWell it would be better than a sex offender and philandering jerk cough cough Bill Clinton
Six. He’s driven six hotels and/or casinos into the ground. Plus other scammy business practices that he settled lawsuits on, like ‘Trump University’. And his Trump Media (which we discussed here some months ago when it first publicly traded) is on a sustained plummet. His actual business acumen is open for debate.
