Well that bar to be great compared to the Trumpster isn’t exactly staggeringly highThe same people that told us Biden was perfectly fine physically and mentally are telling us Harris will be a great POTUS.

The important distinction is that pretty much everything about Trump is known (no possible attack is too small for critics to attempt), and a staggering amount of concealment has been thrown up in front of Biden and Harris.Well that bar to be great compared to the Trumpster isn’t exactly staggeringly high
Fair point. The important distinction is that pretty much everything about Trump is known (no possible attack is too small for critics to attempt), and a staggering amount of concealment has been thrown up in front of Biden and Harris.
Looking under the proverbial barrel - both sides.Well that bar to be great compared to the Trumpster isn’t exactly staggeringly high
If I was an American they could have wheeled Biden in a la Weekend at Bernies and I would still have voted for him over TrumpWell that bar to be great compared to the Trumpster isn’t exactly staggeringly high
Aaaaaand here's why words matter more than " 'everyone' KNOWS what he meant" ....

Seems he has just announced he has walked back that…and will vote against changing it.Aaaaaand here's why words matter more than " 'everyone' KNOWS what he meant" ....

If his opponent did that he’d call it a flip flop.Seems he has just announced he has walked back that…and will vote against changing it.
Trading some social conservative votes in safe states for reduce damage to him on hot button social issues in battleground states is prudent. Trump doesn’t need to worry about Florida or other solidly conservative states. He does need to worry about swing voters concerned with abortion rights elsewhere.
For all his myriad faults and shortcomings, he’s not a far right zealot on many social issues. That will displease portions of his base, but he’s savvy enough to know he has to walk a line there given how close this election may be.
Kinda like how now he won’t talk about the one thing he got right, getting Covid vaccines through Operation Warp Speed. As he learned a while ago, his cult gets angry when he mentions it, so he no longer mentions it and surrounds himself with anti-vaxxers.Seems he has just announced he has walked back that…and will vote against changing it.
It’s wild that the shining thing he unequivocally did right (eventually) is the one thing he doesn’t talk about.Kinda like how now he won’t talk about the one thing he got right, getting Covid vaccines through Operation Warp Speed. As he learned a while ago, his cult gets angry when he mentions it, so he no longer mentions it and surrounds himself with anti-vaxxers.
He’s dragged his sizeable MAGA base into a post-facts era. If the man on the screen says it, you accept it as true, and there never was any previously different truth. Bizarrely, much of the rest of the Republican Party has either embraced this, or at least surrendered to it.Donald Trump claims ‘107%’ of new jobs are being taken by ‘illegal immigrants’
Trump made the baseless claim over a mathematically impossible figure at a town hall event in LaCrosse, Wisconsinwww.independent.co.uk
My point about this isn’t the “107%” figure which is blatantly ridiculous. He says ridiculous things.
It’s the fact that his supporters agreed (or didn’t publicly disagree) with it.
Like bri says.. a small group of one issue voters in a safe state. They won't sway the voteAaaaaand here's why words matter more than " 'everyone' KNOWS what he meant" ....

“Alternative facts” was the gem within the first few months. He’s dragged his party base into a post-facts era. If the man on the screen says it, you accept it as true, and there never was any previously different truth.
FL voters won’t, but the swing state voters also see those articles and vote accordingly.Like bri says.. a small group of one issue voters in a safe state. They won't sway the vote
Same can be said about democrats. He’s dragged his sizeable MAGA base into a post-facts era.
