UK - Remembrance Sunday parades too expensive to hold?

Between charging disproportinate amounts to close roads, some councils now insisting events like these have to have liability insurance, along with my previous comment on the blame culture in the UK here, I can see why the UK is perceived by Canadians and other countries to be crazy.

Being the Germans almost succeeded in bombing London back into the stone age, why would municipalities like this put up a  fuss about sunday rememberance day parades. Seems like some of them forget that if is wasn't for the fallen who they should be honouring, they would all be speaking German and swearing allegiances to the swastika right now.

Some people are never happy.

It's when we forget, that history repeats itself to remind us.
