Trump administration 2024-2028

Jesus wept the US somehow went from insanely woke to dangerously batshit crazy and completely unhinged in the space of 2 weeks.

Saw a Venn diagram where those two circles intersect, it says, "You are here." :)

put the anti-vaxxer in charge of health, another perfect call by the infallible one.
Yeah.

If only the Democrats had taken the next Presidency seriously and made it clear that they were looking to provide a fresh look at the future of the Nation instead of trying to keep a declining guy in the Whyt House for a fourth term…

she’s both.

RFK about to get named to Health and Human services.

While Gaetz is laughable as AG and getting a lot of focus, Gabbard as DNI is very dangerous to national security, and RFK as Health and Human Services will take the healthcare portfolio six steps back into the realm of the abjectly stupid. There absolutely will be tangible harm to the health and security of America as a result of a few of these amateur hour loyalist picks he’s making. We can only hope the newly selected Senate leader won’t play ball with recess appointments, and all of the nominations go to a proper confirmation hearing.

They did, and they were. The leftmost Democrats believed they were enjoying a period of ascendancy and outsized influence. They thought pretty much anyone could beat Trump, so they were largely untroubled by the "electability" criterion. That opened up candidate options they wouldn't ordinarily consider. Biden was easily influenced and manipulated and the most progressive Democrats noticed that they were able to advance some of their wish-list items and keep the identity politics train rolling. Add in the belief that primary challenges to incumbents weaken prospects of keeping the presidency. So they wanted to keep Biden. When Biden's infirmity was undeniably revealed, they opted for Harris to preserve an administration favourable to left-leaning ideas.

Keeping those candidates on the ballot was them taking the presidency seriously. Their fresh look at the future was the continuation of identity politics. They didn't think they could lose, although not with the degree of arrogance exhibited in 2016. They really believed that "RCP average with a +1R shift" was not the prudent way to gauge the mood of the electorate this time. Consequently they were shocked by the swing state and popular vote results.

Meh, he wants to ban fluoride in the water so bad teeth and polio! Welcome to the 19th century!
If he wants to get crude oil and toxic chemicals out of the food supply who wouldn’t support that? If he wants to increase the testing and surveillance of vaccines and drinking water additives, and bring the hammer down on the prescription drug tsunami currently drugging America into extinction, these are net positives. If he wants young people and in fact all people to eat healthy and get moving and lose weight- how is that not a good thing. Right?

But nobody should be okay with having their public health and immune systems stripped away such as removing fluoridated waters, access to safe vaccines, proper and limited use of prescription meds etc. I don’t think RFK will go that far … maybe.

His reference points back to the 50’s and 60’s are also not achievable. The US has grown by 140million people. All of the water and sanitation infrastructure is old and unlikely to be repaired or replaced in the next several decades. Since the 50’s/60’s there are also 6 decades of adding petroleum, chemical and biological waste into the ground and waters of the US. Many of the protections he resists against are absolutely necessary to have even an unhealthy survival, never mind raising the standards of health.

The DNC’s ‘seriously’ was a sub-optimal blend of hubris and ignorance/naivety.

The Red Wave has arrived. Trump has been vocal about what he intends to do and he has the mandate to do it.

Edit: and the MSM has been smashed - nobody believes the MSM anymore.
