I'm sure she will be super impartial on the matterThe GG is also within her rights to ignore the letter.

She probably will. But I doubt that those that want JT gone will grasp that.I'm sure she will be super impartial on the matter
Do you want JT gone? She probably will. But I doubt that those that want JT gone will grasp that.
I should rephrase that as some that want him gone wonāt grasp that.Do you want JT gone?
Expenditures on food and what not do not equate to the partisan antics of Fergus. A bit of a false equivalency I would say. That's fair. I'm basing my assumption of her Fergus/Johnston level of impartialness on what appears to be her (imo) really enjoying the wining dining and travel aspect of her job.
Her role and expenditures don't seem like a big hit with many Canadians, and a newly elected Pierre Poilievre may want to start off his "Common Sense" rule with some low hanging fruit.
She will. Poillievreās letter is calling on her to do something itās not her place to unilaterally do. The constitutional conventions around the role and accepted use of powers by the GG are very well established. And he knows that. But most of his supporters either donāt know or donāt care. Theatrics again.I'm sure she will be super impartial on the matter

Okay, I'll concede. But most of his supporters either donāt know or donāt care. Theatrics again.
Does the GG get any different meals than the PM or whoever is flying on 412 or 437 Sqn aircraft? That's fair. I'm basing my assumption of her Fergus/Johnston level of impartialness on what appears to be her (imo) really enjoying the wining dining and travel aspect of her job.

Six years. Three percent per year. Can't draw until he's 65 years old.So Singh is pension eligible on Feb 25, 2025. What about the rest of his MPs? Will they vote with him to bring down the government early and forfeit their pensions?
I really donāt think his pension is a factor but his party thoughā¦Six years. Three percent per year. Can't draw until he's 65 years old.
Can 412 and 437sqn members order $1500 beef wellington meals on a flight?Does the GG get any different meals than the PM or whoever is flying on 412 or 437 Sqn aircraft?
My point being that if Poilievre wants to cut costs, is he willing to cut his own meals as well?
Probably not, but thatās not the comparison I was making. Can 412 and 437sqn members order $1500 beef wellington meals on a flight?
I would love to see the PM eat an IMP, sans heater bc not allowed on aircraft.I agree PP should be willing to cuthisthe governments ability to pay for a single meal that would feed an average Canadian for over a month.
Agree in general, but he may find it hard to entertain other fellow leaders while at summits in big, expensive cities, but I'm sure the others will appreciate being taken to the local McDonald's or chip wagon And we'll see how often PP is willing to fly commercial if/when he becomes PM, since others elsewhere on the threads have pointed this out.... āRock or somethingāI would love to see the PM eat an IMP, sans heater bc not allowed on aircraft.
Almost like thereās a cost to do business.Agree in general, but he may find it hard to entertain other fellow leaders while at summits in big, expensive cities, but I'm sure the others will appreciate being taken to the local McDonald's or chip wagon And we'll see how often PP is willing to fly commercial if/when he becomes PM, since others elsewhere on the threads have pointed this out.
It's like fixing up older official residences - nobody wants to do it because anybody on the other side'll say "hey, lookit all the crazy money they're spending on their own houses when so many Canadians can't afford their own."

Also not allowed on aircraftāRock or somethingā
There is a difference between being frugal and being cheap.Agree in general, but he may find it hard to entertain other fellow leaders while at summits in big, expensive cities, but I'm sure the others will appreciate being taken to the local McDonald's or chip wagon And we'll see how often PP is willing to fly commercial if/when he becomes PM, since others elsewhere on the threads have pointed this out.

Probably not, but thatās not the comparison I was making.
My comparison was the passengers (e.g. the PM), not the crew.
I would love to see the PM eat an IMP, sans heater bc not allowed on aircraft.
