With all infantry positions being full right now, I would like to know what I should be doing for the time being to put myself in good competition with other applicants. I've been looking around and haven't gotten a solid answer... if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated  :)

Well if you havn't proceeded with anything as of yet. Then I would suggest you should take practice tests for your CFAT. It seems if you score high on that then you should be better off then others who scored lower. Also before you go for your medical, I suggest that you don't listen to the TV loud or any loud music as you do a hearing test. Other then that, nothing else really that you can do to become competitive.

Get in good shape, do some volunteer work (if time permits), perhaps take a course in the trade you intend to apply for (again, time permitting).  Make yourself presentable each time you go into the CFRC.  Be respectful, be organized, fill out all paperwork neatly and completely, be knowledgeable about the trade you are applying for.  I'm not a recruiter, but that would certainly go a long way with me.

So there you have it -- if you can't get into the Army, you can always hit on Moe  >:D

Yep, doesn't mean you'll get anywhere though.  ;D

I'll rephrase that.  It would go a long way with me if I were the prospective employer.

Ahaha... Journeyman, that's too funny.  ::)
Yeah, that's kind of why we keep him around here.  For his rapier wit.  ;)

Anyway, back on topic.

Certainly qualifies as my bursting out loud laughing moment of the day.  :)

Okay Moe, I was looking for a replacement, you can have my job. I'm done with it!

Good luck!

NOW back on topic!

Moe,
You don't have to be different to work in recruiting but adaptable is good. We take all kinds of people.
