Hey guys,

I've been doing this application roughly for 2 years, I started off going for Primary Reserve for the 72nd Tor Scots (I think the number might be off) and of course, went through the application process like anyone else would have eCFAT, Medical, Interview the works. How ever, there was medical issues I had that gave me difficulties. Roughly around Nov 19th of last year I received the Medically Unfit letter from the RMO. When I got that letter I was upset, that I wouldn't be joining. They asked me to get some letters from specialists and they'd reconsider my employment in the RES, or REG Army. So knowing me at this point I tend to take these as challenges, took me almost half a year to get one appointment for a specialist, but anyways I got it. And another one took exactly a year to see and get a letter for them. at the time I also got a job offer from TD Canada Trust Which I took... I looked as it as a possible avenue to take for a career.  How ever, working there still now I couldn't even tell you how much I have to suck it up working there. In my honest opinion, I want a change from talking to customers etc. And decide to do something I've always wanted to do... I thought  about sticking with TD for a good life, but at the end of the day it wasn't what I wanted. I then went home on one of these days where I decided to look for another job, to have at the same time. And of course while looking for an old copy of my resume I found the RMO letter. I looked at it, and of course was like well... I have what they asked for... Maybe I should try again. So I did, next day I walked into the CFRC And started talking to the recruiters there about it. Gave me another application to fill out because, of the fact RES and REG force two different branches etc. So I filled it out at the start of april handed it in the next day. Of course it wasn't long before I had to do the Interview May 15th or so if im not mistaken... After seeing the Captain who was in charge of career counseling he said I was what they were looking for in Infantry. Another month or so goes by for my medical (again) this time I had the letters, I had the proof. But Had high blood pressure so, had to get a doctors note for that but regardless... got everything signed for what they were. Handed it in last monday, and its the next week after and I have an offer. RMO worked quick, took them a week to hand my file back down and merit list me by the end of the week? regardless, woke up to a phone call today, with an offer and took it. Aug 5th im getting sworn in and Aug 10th im in basic, until the 13th of Nov.

The values of the story is,

Do what the RMO asks, those LETTERS OF DOOM as some people call it are not the end. Continue going through the application if its something that can be solved. Take it on as a challenge, that's what I did and look where I am now... Can't tell you how excited I am to be finally wearing a uniform. Or even getting a chance to... It's an Honor my friends.

EDIT: If you guys are really unsure about your medical things that may get in the way, take a look at the UoS and the Medical Standards all of which can be found on here.
