Here's hoping for a full & speedy recovery ....

Uncool ...hope they get better.

Does make you wonder if the neighbourhood was recce'd or just picked out of the blue...

I've actually been to the very place they were training before.

Reading more into it, apparently there was an altercation earlier in the night. The police are looking for a Silver pickup truck with three males.

They probably mouthed off at some Rednecks and got introduced to Hoosier hospitality.

Time spent on recce is seldom wasted.

With a crime rate of 45 per one thousand residents, Indianapolis has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 22. Within Indiana, more than 97% of the communities have a lower crime rate than Indianapolis.
. . .
For Indianapolis, we found that the violent crime rate is one of the highest in the nation, across communities of all sizes (both large and small). Violent offenses tracked included rape, murder and non-negligent manslaughter, armed robbery, and aggravated assault, including assault with a deadly weapon. According to NeighborhoodScout's analysis of FBI reported crime data, your chance of becoming a victim of one of these crimes in Indianapolis is one in 114.

Significantly, based on the number of murders reported by the FBI and the number of residents living in the city, NeighborhoodScout's analysis shows that Indianapolis experiences one of the higher murder rates in the nation when compared with cities and towns for all sizes of population, from the largest to the smallest.

Of course the recce could have been focused on the all important off-duty party time. The hotel where they were staying is in the centre of action, not exactly next door to the training site that provides a different type of action.

There has been an arrest in connection with this incident.

Shamar Duncan, 22, was taken into custody by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Tuesday afternoon, the department said in a news release.
Duncan was arrested for murder, but the police department said it will decide his final charges after reviewing the case, noting that additional charges are possible. Police did not specify where the suspect was apprehended or a possible motive, but previously attributed Saturday’s shooting to a “disturbance” between the victims and the suspect.
