Riot's are nasty, Riot's are very dangerous.
The Police, Ambulance,Fire Fighter's and other's
are there to protect, render aid firefight Ect.
But going ballistic over a hockey game??
Then again people at said event's got to
A) As fan's support the team(lost the game we
will get the trophy next year and go on about
their live's like anybody else would.
B) Or iregardless of end game event insit-
gate trouble anyway. And there are people go to
those event's.
C) Then thier are the one's caught in between,
trying to do as Police advise/tell them Ie:
1. Leave the area rior happening go home
2. then their are the one's that aid/abet and
willingly and good citizen trying to stop them
and protect Police,propery,themselve's,others.
My point is it should have never happened to be-
gin with but our civil authouritie's plannned and
prepared for such an occurence on the contingen-
cy that it would from previous event's.
But it did and Vancouver got a very big black eye
in the world community.
Having said that, some involved in that riot inten-
tionally or not owned up. The one's that didn't or
are to cowardly to do so. Tough luck it's probably
recorded somewhere via security video, cam-corder
cell phone, media. Some-where sometime down the
there is a set of bracelet's(handcuff's) awaitng you.
Just my thought's,,, All responses directed to only me
please,,
Cheer's and best Regard's,

Here's how Vancouver Police is tracking folks down - anybody you know here?
http://vancouver.ca/police/riot2011/

It seems to be drawing folks to take a peek:
The new riot2011.vpd.ca website developed to help identify suspected rioters has been receiving nearly 2200 hits per hour since the launch of the site earlier today. More than 50 new tips have also come in that have been forwarded to investigators for follow up.

"The Day a Vancouver Riot Report Became a Whitewash:
... for the ABSOLUTE bomb, go have a read of the ‘Emergency Response Workers’ Survey’ which produced SCATHING comments by first responders."

Job well done:
"Finally, the remarkable work of the front-line emergency responders must be acknowledged. The riots following Game 7 could have been much worse were it not for the courage, competence and compassion of the men and women of the police, ambulance and fire services, many of whom risked their own safety to protect the community from the destructive actions of a relatively small number of agitators."

It's just really too bad that politicians in Vancouver and BC, and the senior management of the VPD, failed the on-the-ground police officers, and the city.

The root cause of the riot was the sorry ass Roberto Luongo.

He should pay the cost. Ten.three million USD a year!

He is just about the same level as the VPD Chief.

Always considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  That said, another grossly misunderstood young man ....

A youth caught on video appearing to try to light a police car on fire in Vancouver on Wednesday night has been identified as an elite athlete who was headed to the University of Calgary on scholarship.

Nathan Kotylak, 17, was identified as one of the hundreds of people who tore a path of destruction through Vancouver's downtown streets after the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins.

Water Polo Canada later announced it has suspended a high-level polo player over allegations he was involved in the riot.

Ahmed El-Awadi, executive director of Water Polo Canada, said in a news release that the player, who was not named, has contacted the organization through a lawyer to indicate he will co-operate fully with any disciplinary process.

The Grade 12 student from the Vancouver suburb of Maple Ridge and attends a private school and plays water polo on Canada's junior national team.

Kotylak had received a partial scholarship to attend the University of Calgary to study kinesiology, and hoped one day to compete in the Olympics, according to his father.

After the picture of Kotylak vandalizing a police car became one of the most viewed images in the riot's aftermath, the young athlete was repeatedly outed on Facebook and other social networking sites by people who recognized him.

The teen's father, a surgeon in B.C., told CBC News on Friday that the Grade 12 student will be "doing the right thing" by turning himself in.

He added he wishes his older son had been there that night to look out for his 17-year-old and described the photo as "misleading" ....

The latest:  he can't compete for Canada for two years, no more stipend, no more scholarship.....
A Canadian water polo player who was shown in some notorious images from the Vancouver Stanley Cup riot has been banned from the national team for two years.

Nathan Kotylak was handed the suspension by Water Polo Canada's discipline panel, which means his Olympic dreams for 2012 are officially dashed.

The 18-year-old from Maple Ridge, B.C., apologized in June after social media sites posted pictures showing the teen stuffing a rag into the gas tank of a police car during the post-Stanley Cup riot on June 15th.

The ban prevents Kotylak from representing Canada on any national team until June of 2013, and he cannot receive any Sport Canada funding for two years.

The panel described Kotylak's actions as "very serious" in a written decision released Monday night.

The ruling followed a full-day hearing last Friday in Vancouver ....

Chief Chu is not being forthright with the people of Vancouver:

http://alexgtsakumis.com/2011/09/26/vancouver-police-chief-jim-chu-must-be-fired-immediately-without-fail/

Vancouver Police Chief Jim Chu Must Be Fired Immediately–Without Fail.

When is the last time you’ve ever seen a more embarrassing spectacle?

The Chief of police is so busy spinning blame in every other direction except where it should primarily rest: In his lap; with him.

He was the one to make grand pronouncements about preparedness. He was the one to discount the chances of a riot. He is the one to have given multiple  and contradictory explanations to the public and the press. He is the one who has told outright lies based on information the media had to extract through Freedom of Information Requests–information which now conclusively proves that the Chief has lied.

He is the utter fool, who, when faced with the concerns of the Liquor Control Board head, denied them before, during and after her efforts

And now, he’s blaming the Globe and Mail’s Gary Mason and others for doing their job: Getting the truth out about the riots and apportioning blame at Chu’s doorstep. He and two of his spokespeople think I am the anti-Christ because in this very space I released the first real information regarding the riots that the public had available. But now, all the intel I was getting from my friends with the VPD is coming out. And!!!!! My FOI for Penny Ballem’s barking over two-way radios the night of the riot goes into month three….all while Chu fiddles and diddles.

The Chief really needs to go. It’s over. He should not be allowed to continue as he has disgraced his badge and tarnished the integrity of the entire force.

How can Gregor Robertson sit there and watch this? What a disgrace he is as Mayor and Chair of the Police Board. How, in good conscience, can he honestly say he has faith in the Chief of the Vancouver Police Department after the Chief’s most recent tirade? Chu has so overstepped his authority that there are no words to describe what a joke it is for me to sit and listen to such a liar and incompetent leader blame everyone else.

Where is Suzanne Anton? She should be all over this and demanding the Chief be fired. She’s got nothing to lose anyway. She’s got about as much chance of getting elected as I do of successfully modeling.

Why is the public putting up with any of this?!?!?!?!

RISE UP VANCOUVERITES!!! Call these people; email them and tell them what you think.

Bottom line: Chief Chu is out of control and should be fired forthwith.

He has made it so very obvious that most of the blame for all this clearly belongs to him for his failed leadership.

To maintain the integrity of the Vancouver police force, he should be gone.

And now...!!

Dick Cheney’s Vancouver Dinner Lecture Marred by Left Loons’ Rent-A-Thug Crowd: Violence to Protest Violence?

It was more than a case of tranquility lost and dignity vaporized.

Far more than yet another painful example of the castrated Vancouver Police Department under current Chief Jim Chu and current Mayor Gregor Robertson–they had no presence for the 45 minutes of the Vancouver Club mugging, it was an instructive lesson on how the thick hypocrisy of doctrinaire thuggery makes for a remarkable spectacle–and once more, a blight on this city that in the fanatical socialist doctrina applied by an extremist Mayor’s edict for the last three years, has spawned a rather deliberate anarchy which you should all find indefatigably troubling. Well, at least you should. The Police didn’t even think to appear in riot gear until 10 o ‘clock, when it was all but over inside, while outside, the throng of criminals boiled over.

Peace? I think not. More a case of hyper-violent, criminal protest to counter-claim alleged transgressions of war.

All that was missing from last night’s ‘Drub at the Club’, were numbers in the thousands, otherwise the ethos of protesters was no different than the mood of the rioters in June. As an aside, it is so very remarkable indeed that since the election of the peacenik Vision Vancouver cabal in 2008, violent protest in this city has undeniably spiked.

Though, in the case of the Vice-President’s speech, the fomenting of the promptly truncated logic of protesters-turned-rioters was seeded many days ago, when libertine NDP Member of Parliament Don Davies was calling Vice-President Cheney a “war criminal”  to any media outlet that would carry such absurdities. By definition, I find it much more than a significant stretch to castigate a man such as Dick Cheney, warts inclusive, (he has his, as we have ours) in the same breath as Pol Pot, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Milosevic, Guevara, Hussein et al.–Hitler, having a shameful pedestal all his own...

That's not news, that's editorial. Chief Chu did what he could with what he was given. He was essentially handcuffed by that asshat Robertson.
