...our tendancy quickly turns to the usual Islamist suspect everytime someone (anywhere in the world) blows himself up.
Actually, suicide bombing was popularized by the Tamil Tigers long before al Qaeda got in on the act.

Police name Moscow bombing 'mastermind'

The suspected mastermind of the Moscow airport bombing is thought to belong to an Islamist militant group in the North Caucasus, security sources say.

Police are seeking information about Vitaly Razdobudko, a 32 year-old ethnic Russian man who converted to Islam. He is a native of Russia's volatile Stavropol region, which lies around 800 miles south of Moscow, close to the Muslim internal republics of Chechnya and Dagestan.

An alleged member of a radical Wahhabite terrorist group called the Nogai Jamaat, he is suspected of being one of the attack's main organizers. Some sources have suggested he may also have personally taken part in the attack.

The bombing, at Moscow's busy Domodedovo airport, left 35 people dead.

Family members reported Mr Razdobudko and his wife missing last November and he has been on a federal wanted list since.

Police suspect he may also have had a hand in a car bombing in the southern Russian town of Pyatigorsk last summer that injured 30 people. Up to nine other suspects are also being sought in connection with the bombing, security sources added.

Like Mr Razdobudko, many of them are suspected members of the Nogai Jamaat, a terror group that emerged in the early part of the last decade in southern Russia and sided with Chechen radicals.

Russia's national anti-terrorism committee has yet to officially name the group or the individuals it believes were responsible for the airport bombing and has cautioned against drawing hasty conclusions.

I'm not weighing out Georgia either especially since tensions between the two have remained at a high level.

The Georgians have never carried out a terrorist attack, let a lone suicide attack, against the Russians. The Chechen's and assorted Islamic extremists, on the other hand, have carried numerous terrorist attacks against Russia. Remember the old saying, "If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then its probably a duck."

If that's what it takes to change your mind, get reading  ;D

Bloom's latest book, Bombshell, is about female terrorists; read that one too if you don't already fear women.

Perhaps islamic terrorists should invoke a sharia law of 'don't text and bomb' similar to our secular motor vehicle act law of 'don't text and drive'.

What would the punishment be for violating this law? Instead of 40 virgins, you get a half dozen gentile diner waitresses with more male conquests than Rock Hudson?

Reminds me of this: http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin1999-38.html

5 September 1999, Jerusalem    In most parts of the world, the switch away from Daylight Saving Time proceeds smoothly. But the time change raised havoc with Palestinian terrorists this year.

Israel insisted on a premature switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time to accommodate a week of pre-sunrise prayers. Palestinians refused to live on "Zionist Time." Two weeks of scheduling havoc ensued. Nobody knew the "correct" time.

At precisely 5:30pm on Sunday, two coordinated car bombs exploded in different cities, killing three terrorists who were transporting the bombs. It was initially believed that the devices had been detonated prematurely by klutzy amateurs. A closer look revealed the truth behind the explosions.

The bombs had been prepared in a Palestine-controlled area, and set to detonate on Daylight Saving Time. But the confused drivers had already switched to Standard Time. When they picked up the bombs, they neglected to ask whose watch was used to set the timing mechanism. As a result, the cars were still en-route when the explosives detonated, delivering the terrorists to their untimely demises.

I'm curious.  Does she now have to satisfy 72 virgins?

Nope, but she has to deal with male virgins:

true enough...
unless she be a deceitful decoy ;D
but surely, "If it stinks.....It's probably rotten"
Interesting to note is that no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for attacks on Moscow,
and groups linked to Al Qaeda usually claim responsibility for their actions.
An excerpt from "The Moscow Bombings" article (from earlier attacks)
Russian propaganda ? Misinformation ?
---
Nikolai Patrushev, the current secretary of Russia’s National Security Council and the former head of the FSB, the successor to the KGB, is already pointing the finger at Georgia for the Moscow bombings.

“We have had information that individual members of Georgian special forces support contacts with terrorist organizations in the Russian North Caucasus. We must check this also in relation to the acts of terror in Moscow,” Patrushev said. He described Saakashvili as “unpredictable” and “it cannot be ruled out that he may start [another war] again.”

These accusations are just the latest in Russia’s attempts to make the case that Georgia is essentially waging war on them through terrorist proxies. On October 13, 2009, the chief of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, said that Georgian intelligence maintains contact with Al-Qaeda and helped train and transport terrorists to Chechnya.

“They perpetually undertake to deliver weapons, explosives and financing for subversive acts on high security sites in Dagestan—first and foremost on oil and gas pipelines,” he said.

This statement was closely followed by a warning from the chief of Russia’s GRU military-intelligence, Aleksandr Shlyakhturov, that the Saakashvili government is “unpredictable” and could launch an attack on South Ossetia.

Shortly before the Moscow bombings, Russia’s rhetoric about Georgia’s alleged involvement in terrorism was making headlines. The Russian Deputy Interior Minister claimed in mid-January that recent violence in Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia was the result of Georgian involvement. “At military bases in Georgia, terrorist groups are trained by foreign instructors to carry out attacks in Russia,” he said.

Are war crimes not terrorism ?
and also Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's latest statement regarding South Ossetia South Ossetia concerned over Georgian 'threats'

"Saakashvili also reportedly said that he would "celebrate the next New Year in Sukhumi," the capital of the former Georgian republic of Abkhazia"
"People do not believe in any peaceful initiatives [by Georgia] anymore," Pliyev commented.

The sad thing is this:

That photo of me was taken only days ago!  :'(

The Infantry School really needs to spend some money and get rid of that panelling.  I see you have your own printer though.  Nice!

This isn't the first time a terrorist has been taken out by modernity.  The Engineer, Yahya Ayyash, was killed when he answered a cell phone.  The phone had originally been given to him by a relative who previously had been picked up by the Israelis.  The Israelis "persuaded" the relative to put the phone into The Engineer's hands.  If he did this the relative and his family would live the rest of their lives in peace.  So, the relative did this simple task.  Once the phone was in The Engineers' hands, Shin Bet called him.  The phone went off as it was packed with explosive and killed the target.  Maybe not quite the same but the end result is similar.  I guess the lesson here is make sure you have a good cellular plan.
