Never mind, found it. I don't see the similarity, other than they are both swords. The artifact doesn't look like a gladius to me.

On this coast at the Maritime Museum, we have 2,000 year old Chinese vase that came up in a fishing net in the Strait of Juan De fuca. Problem is we don't know if it's off the wreck of a 2000 year old wreck or a 18th century sailing ship. I like it, because you can see inside the thumb print of the potter who was fixing a flaw in it.
