Possible Kit Shop

I‘m currently considering starting "Fisher Tactical Systems", a business that would provide soldiers Canadian Army with high quality privately obtained equipment for the 21st century.

I know that the Clothe the Soldier Program is ongoing, and it promises some very good results, but that‘s what was said back in 1984 when the ‘82 pattern webbing and ruck came out...and we‘re dealing with the results now...

The centerpiece of my wares would be a Canadian version of the US Modular Loadbearing System produced in CADPAT camouflage.

In addition to this I‘d sell, non-fleece, synthetic fill jacket liners as an alternative to the new Polartec jackets. While Polartec delivers excellent warmth, good breathability, is resistant to water absorption, it does have serious cons. Polartec is not very compressible, hence when you‘re trying to put it in your ruck, it takes up too much room. Synthetic fill jackets are far superior in terms of warmth to weight ratio compared to Polartec, and are amazingly compressible. My jackets would not be the typical Alpha liners. They would be far more well made, use better fill and shell materials and be far more durable than an Alpha liner.

In addition to to jackets I would offer high quality, lightweight, compressible synthetic fill Sleeping bags as to provide an alternative to the current issue heavy, bulky, down-filled bags.

These are the items that I‘m currently considering to form the backbone of my business with.

I know that Mark Wheeler and his Canadian Peacekeeper company have got the majority of the Canadian market, but, put simply, the products they offer are generally mediocre in quality non-durable stitching, not very technical, and high in price.

What I wish to know is if you...the Canadian Soldier...would be interested in these musings of mine so as to provide Canadian Soldiers with the quality equipment that they need and deserve.

Any responses here on the message board, or emails to me directly would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Matt Fisher

PS Always remember your issue kit was made by the lowest bidder
