Pretty close to what ours cost in real money.

For the purposes of this forum I’m happy to be the contrarian. An echo chamber is no fun at all.
Glad to have some additional views. I think this forum is full of opposing views, and is mostly civilized.
You're a frequent poster here, it seems the majority of your posts are pro-Trump and you're sort of the pro-Trump voice in a lot of these threads.
My question was not meant to cause controversy, I am just genuinely curious how pro-Trump you remain after everything that has happened.
If you're the type who cheers on everything Trump does and says, it's fine, but let's just clear the air, as generally unless I missed something you seem to imply you're 100% Team Trump with your posts. Is that the case or do you remain open to the fact that maybe some of the things he's doing aren't such great ideas?
Feel free not to reply, but this is a political thread and I think it's a fair question.
Looks like the Trump administration's halt on intelligence sharing with Ukraine is extending to private satellite imagery companies:

Yeah it is sad.I suspect Musk threatened them with no more launches.
So sad he had another rocket blow up yesterday…
Remember the origin of the word SabotageYeah it is sad.
IIRC some in weapons factories in countries occupied by the Nazis would deliberately sabotage weapons...

As nice as Google products - Google maps and Google Earth are...This is a (further) pretty bad way to advertise the reliability of your defense industry if it hinges on who happens to be President and what they had for breakfast that day, and this after making Russian stuff look like glorified crematoriums. The EU and South Korean companies may be eating very well for the next couple decades.
The USA has stopped the delivery of all military supplies to Ukraine. The Trump administration had actually been slowing the supply of remaining Biden era supplies for a while. However now even Biden appropriations are not being delivered.- The USA has stopped allowing Ukraine to attack Russian forces with certain high-value US systems such as HIMARS.
- The USA, in a particularly twisted move, has made it far more difficult for Ukraine to defend against Russian missile attacks. What the USA has done is no longer provide Ukraine with warning of such attacks—which will make them far more deadly and effective.
- The USA is actually stopping non-military supplies such as medical equipment, which is vital to keep wounded Ukrainians alive. This had started with the USAID cut—but has now reached an extreme level with no medical supplies to treat Ukrainian soldiers. The USA is also forbidding the Ukrainians from having access to Maxar commercial satellite data—which has been widely available to them (and many civilian agencies) throughout the conflict.
- The USA is signalling strong support to Putin that they want to see his strategic priorities met in the short term.
I remember a documentary about the slave labourers used in constructing the V2 and how they would pee on the electronics in hopes of sabotaging the rockets.Yeah it is sad.

A provocative title, but the five steps taken by the US to undermine Ukraine are undeniable.

Weekend Update #123: The Week The USA Started Killing Ukrainians
Part 1: The Trump Plan to Damage Ukraine and Help Russiaphillipspobrien.substack.com
Almost all of that advance actually happened almost four days ago—then it has stopped. This is actually the story of the war this last 14 months. The Russians make a small advance, people seem to lose their heads talking about the Ukrainians about to be surrounded and collapse, and then the advance peters out.
What seems to be happening is that in preparation for Trump and Putin trying to force a bad cease-fire deal on Ukraine, Russia is throwing everything it can to try and retake as much of the Kursk salient as possible. The more the Ukrainians hold of Russia, the worse it is for Putin. He also now understands that Trump has his back—so he can basically throw the kitchen sink at Kursk to try and take what he can.
One will imagine such attacks continuing.
For massive cost in this area (the Donbas), the Russians have barely moved the line. This decreasing advance is the military story that is more important.
Its also the great tragedy of the USA switching sides and becoming an ally of Putin. Ukraine was actually inflicting unsustainably high casualties on the Russians. If Europe had stepped up and US aid simply continued as under Biden (particularly with intelligence), the Russians would have had a hard time sustaining the fight by the end of 2025.
Now Putin can wage war knowing he has the USA on his side. Europe must respond or it will fail.

Once again further calling into question the reliability of fielding American made. At least France has started sending over Mirage 2000's that they can fall back on.
