Nah!  It's more for morale puposes.  Whenever the pilot is having a really sh!tty day he can look at the ACSO and think, "At least I'm not him."  ;D

Please.  We (and our Sensor Operators) will be the ones in Tampa/Creech/on a US carrier, flying them while the fast-jet Pilots wonder where their jobs went
