Hey everyone,

I was just hoping that someone can help me out with the structure of writing a memoa and in detail what would go where. This is the first time I am writing one. (Just finishing BMQ). I am planning on requesting to commission from the ranks, and I was told I must write a memo. Can anyone help me out?

Since the Army Electronic Library is no longer publicly accessible, you can't use the LFDTS Staff Duties Manual. However, this site should steer you in the right direction.  Kudos to the CIC for setting this up.
 
i don't know where you did BMQ but we had like 4 classes on memo writing and we hand wrote memo's for practice, so i'm not sure how you dont atleast know some of the format for it.
 
            They had a brief lesson that lasted over 15 mins maybe and that was all. I do know some of the format for it of course, but I would like to make sure it is correct, and knowing that I have never written one I thought it was best to seek help.

Maybe the poster did a Reserve BMQ as I believe it's not in the Reserve TP anymore.
 
Talk to your section 2I/C they will gladly help you write one.

There are a lot of people who come to this site looking for memo's.
Seeing there is a market,I will write memorandums for $29.95.
I specialise in Occupational transfers and requests for postings out/course parties (cause I'm always the guy who asks when the course party is during course indoc ;D)

Not to include harassment,"I cant" memo's,complaining,my mommy lives far away and I want to be closer,etc
 
You have the link. Write it up and send it by your Section 2 I/C for correction before submission.

This subject has also been covered numerable times before. A 'search' would have turned up the info required.
