So after being told I was denied on my Medical in February of this year I waited for months to receive my unfit letter, though I was sure I already knew why I was denied.
It just came in the mail and I was denied based on past diagnoses of PTSD, Anxiety and Depression.
I will admit in my early 20s I had a rough go and a shit storm all happened at once where I had a bad break up with my fiance and moved out so lost my home, we worked together and I had to step away from my job, moved halfway across the country to move back into my mother's house then watched my dog get hit and killed by a truck ar which point I kinda lost my mind for a bit after going through all that within a few months. I was diagnosed and medicated briefly, took a DBT course to help me deal with grief, stress, emotion Regulation and distress tolerance. I have not been on medication or under any medical care for over 6 years and my doctor clears me of any mental health disorders.
I am looking to speak to anyone who has been denied on their medical and went through the appeal process. I am in the process of writing a letter and will have my doctor do the same, as well as my employer whos worked with me the past 5 years and my local MLA who is the NS Health Minister said he would write me a letter as he knows me and my history and where I am now.
What exactly do I have to do I just says to send a letter to the above address and ATT RMO. Do I just send a big envelope with everything included?
I read something about a waiver online what does that mean and entail?
