I hope I have come to the right place. My Dad served, during WWII, in the Irish Regement out of Toronto. I‘m making him a Christmas present and can not find a picture or graphic of the Irish Regement‘s insignia. LOL I hope I‘m asking for the right thing....

Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Warmly,
Lynn

Lynn,

I‘ve moved your topic into this forum. I‘ve also found a copy of their crest, though it‘s not in great shape:

Between that, and the crest located on this site (http://cdnarmy.ca/inf/irrc.jpg) hopefully it‘s enough to get you going.

Cheers

The WW2 crest was considerably different from the current one.

My site has photos of the Irish Regiment cap badge, cloth shoulder title, metal shoulder title, collar badges, etc.

see http://members.home.net/canuckmain/ and click on UNIFORMS.

I hope this helps. Also if you try a coin and stamp shop they usually have books of military insignia. You could probably get a good shot from one of those books. I‘ll keep surfing and see what I can find.
