List of Military Occupations with a question at the end?

Just felt like sharing my selection for my top picks.

1. 642 Electrical Distribution Tech
2. 052 Line maintainer
3. 332 Marine Electrical
4. 935 Mobile support equipment operator
5. 321 Hull Technician
6. 181 Boatswain
7. 031 Infantry Soldier

Now my bottom 3 may change around but I know my top 4 will remain the same.

When I was at the recruiting office and pick up my paper work I was also given a sheet of military occupations, entitled List of Military Occupations for Non-commissioned members (NCMs) in the Canadian Forces 1 October 2002 This list seem to be sectioned up and looks to be in a numbered ordered with lines when the numbers change for example.

Sample
Code Occupation
011      Armored Soldier
021      Artillery Soldier
---------------------------------
152      Line maintainer
181      Boat swain
121      Meteorological Technician
215      Signal Operator
227      Naval communicator
-------------------------------
321      Hull Technician
332      Marine Electricain
-------------------------------
411      Vehicle Technician
ETC....
(for some reason yes, the 100 and 200's are placed in the same area)

Is there any meaning to why its all divided up and why certain things are grouped in with others?

the 0 hundred series are Cbt Arms & naval weapons
the 100 and 200 series are tech trades
the 300 series are maritime tech trades
the 400 series is EME
the 500 series is Air tech trades
the 600 seris is construction engineers
the 700 series are medical
the 800 series are are Log
and the 900 series are movements/transoprtaion

It is inteestng that you are looking at ED tech but not EGS.

I'm not to sure what you mean by "It is inteestng that you are looking at ED tech but not EGS"
I like / good at Electrical things, I have a healthy fear of electricity which makes me aware of what I'm doing and makes me better at dealing with high voltage.

I noticed your preference for electirical occupations.  That is why it stood out that 643 Electrical Generation Systems Tech was not on your list (it is the counter part to the Electrical Distribution Tech).

I was looking into the EGS and had that on my list of 'questioned options'. EGS from my look at it seems to be more mechanical working with and on generators, which is ok but there is a whole aspect to that which bags more questions.
