Hi everyone, I have no idea how to use this so please bare with me. :)
Here's my situation, I applied for Full Time Personnel a couple days ago. However it occurred to me later that the position I wanted (RMS clerk) goes under logistics...so I basically applied for the wrong thing.
I talked to a couple of people AFTER I applied (should have talked to them before I know..) and I figured that I am more interested in working for the Army reserve instead of full time.
So now my question is, IF they contact me, will they ask what I applied for? Should I tell them I made a mistake or I changed my mind?

And now some other questions (considering I am contacted):
1. How likely is a call back/email? I applied for FT Personnel, I live in Toronto, I'm a girl (18), and part of a visible minority.
2. When would I start basic training, how long is it? Is there such thing as part time basic training (Toronto)? Am I able to ask for a break between basic training and  Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics school or do they TELL me when I will be going?
3. Does the army make religious accommodations for anything? Im talking about practices and whatnot that I would want to do...
4. How much would they reimburse me for school (I'm in university first year HR) when I finish basic training and admin school training and start working in the reserve if any?
5. If anyone here is currently a RMS clerk how do you feel about it and what's it like?

Thank you :)

1. First call backs usually take 3-to 6 months.

2. In the reserves, full time training is done only during the summer. Most probably it will take two summers for you to complete your qualification : In the first summer it will be 5 weeks of BMQ followed by 4 weeks of BMQ(L) and the next summer will be 3 months of trade-specific training at Borden's CF school of administration.

4. Once you complete your BMQ, you can get a 50 % reimbursement of your scholarship, but you are allowed to a maximum of 8000$ in total reimbursements for your whole career.

First off, NO one is going to call you!  It is your responsibility to try and contact them.  If you do manage to get through, just tell them you want to change your application from Regular Force to Reserve.

Also, if you are now wishing to pursue Reserves, then you need to contact a Reserve Unit in your local area.

*** If you are interested in joining the Reserves, your first step is to contact one of your local Reserve units to find out which positions are available. They will work with you to identify a job, fill in all the required application forms, and advise you through the process.
