Just a silly question

Can anyone tell me if the troops in Afghanistan over the winter will only be wearing their tan combats or if they will have white winter gear as well. I want to knit some scarfs for my adopted sons and need to know what color to make them.

MG, military knitting is now my life outside of work and family. From a US site acceptable colours are:

black, charcoal, brown, tan, khaki, camo, desert camo
natural fibres

If any of the troops have better info please let us know!
