I am looking for information on my Father, Lance Corporal Francis B. Louth, who was an American who came up to Canada and served with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (WW2).  He was killed in action on October 18th, 1944 in the Netherlands.  I would like to know how long he served and how and where he died.  Any info at all would be appreciated.  Thanks.  FRJ

You could try to acquire a copy of his service records. This page provides points of contact:

You may have already found this link...given he was KIA it shouldn't be too difficult getting his records. Have successfully done this for a couple members of my family...

Yes, I recently acquired a copy of his service records and I am in the process of reading all the information.  I did find out he was not killed in action, but died of his injuries.  Thanks again.
