Button, forget about the zipper.

Tried it... someone told me it was undone about every 5 minutes

Left leg, then right leg, then button, then zipper (if I remember).

Both legs into appropriate side of pants, pull, zip, button, belt. and I am ready for another day.

This is usually done from a half frenzied state of just-woke-up-edness. and if I can find my pants...

Button or zipper first?

Button, then zipper for me.
