A Canadian Forces sergeant pleaded guilty Wednesday to hosting a website that featured gruesome images of children being sexually abused.
Gregory Kusec was an intelligence operator with the Canadian Expeditionary Command when he was arrested in February 2012.
Police seized 19 electronic devices from Kusec’s suburban Ottawa home with more than 25,000 sexualized images and movies of children, said Crown prosecutor Marie Dufort.
“At some point you stop counting,” she said.

Kusec, 44, admitted to possessing, distributing and advertising child exploitation images for more than 10 years. He was also initially charged with producing child exploitation images but that charge was dropped.
Kusec was ordered to undergo a sexual behaviour assessment before his sentencing, which is scheduled for February 10 ....
