Choosing a battalion?

When you apply for a regular force infantry position I'm aware you can request a region of work, but can you also request a battalion (mech or light)?
Also, when applying for a component transfer from infantry reserve to regular force how long does it take a typical applicant to get in?

Thank you for your interest Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Once you have completed your trades training you may have the opportunity too choose your desired location, but final decisions are based on the requirement of the CAF.

As for component transfers, wait times are determined based on requirements of the CAF.
