CF Application and life Questions.

Hey all, first post so forgive me if I messed something up...

I Completed my application to the CF about 4 months ago, I applied on Weapons Technician, Armored Soldier, Infantry Soldier.

I have a couple of questions: First set, How long after my application is processed is a phone call for final interview supposed to happen? is it based on the job s individually? How is it decided what job I receive?

Secondly, Doesn't have to be answered but would be nice to know. Since there is no recruit center near me I never got a chance to talk to a recruiter at all, I was wondering if anyone works in either 3 of these area's would be able to tell me a bit about what its like? the forces website does tell a little bit but its nice to hear from someone who isn't being interviewed for a video if you know what I mean.

No one can give an accurate answer except the CFRC from what I know, correct me anyone if I'm wrong.

Good thing of Weapons Technician is you wont work a lot. So, you will have a lot of energy to do whatever you want after 4:00 PM. Bad thing of Weapons Technician is you wont find a CIV job afterwards.

I don't really plan on living a civi life after I join, its not for me. after I aged out of cadets life got really really really boring haha, so I figured joining the military would be my best bet on living a somewhat exciting life. Thanks for the heads up though!

Well, I'll say if you can move up to elite groups, like JTF2, CSOR, pilot....or you can join a military sports team, then you can find somewhat exciting life............Otherwise, it's very boring.

Making it into an elite group like JTF2 would be a dream come true, I was not going to worry about how to get there until I was Officially in the forces but if you have any advice or ideas I'd love to hear them.
