Holy hell has been raised in the UK, for obvious reasons. Ah well, at least the civvies are paying attention to the military again...

Agreed, although I just thought the name was b_llocks and made no sense although they had to change the name when they assumed duties from the RCMP SERT.  And back in those days given the mandate they could not jump on the SAS name bandwagon.

That was then this is now.  I wonder how long the head-shed considered the SAS name based on our own past and historic ties.

JTF2 did not exist prior to assuming the RCMP SERT duties; therefore there was no name change.
