Hopefully y'all hear back soon! I've been at the same old place since February, waiting for Sec Clearance which is supposedly the final straw but I haven't gotten a reply from the FM or recruiter regarding a status update. I did however switch my desired unit from Tor Scots to Queen's Own Rifles but I'm debating applying for the NEP or Armoured Soldier if the security clearance is going to take the same amount of time for both.

How I see it, you have the whole summer for it to be processed. Saw some ppl get their letters even a week and a half before leaving.

I swear in late August, and dip out for sept 8th. So I think you got plenty of time. Recruitment is slammed atm it seems. Lotta movin parts.

No word on any base assignment yet. thatll probably be after basic, maybe during tradeschool for base/squadron assignment. Someone can probably clarify.

Of course! Feel free to message me your questions!

Your file might probably might’ve been sent for a security clearance already, as far as I’m aware if there are issues during the quality check stage they call the applicant, I would recommend sending an email and checking in! Don’t let it fall through the cracks. The security clearance varies person to person depending on how much time you’ve been in Canada and then how long have you spent outside Canada and where. Like mine took three months, and I’ve been in Canada for 8 and a half years with two short trips to the US for a week both times so its hard to predict the exact time it’ll take for the security clearance!
