Here are some test shots of the Trumpeter LAV-III. No release date as of yet. Looks pretty good!

I'm working with Trumpeter R&D on a 1/35 BISON, COYOTE and TLAV. They have also expressed interest in an ADATS. No idea on release dates for those, I think the 'yote might be nearly ready as the ASLAV is on the shelves now.

If you've got an in with these guys, get them cracking on a Leo AEV kit.

I'd love to see a Badger in styrene!

There is a conversion kit available, but its not for the feint of heart (or wallet!)

A conversion of what?  That's a crap load of add on for a leo chassis, or is it an ARV?  Either way, looks pretty accurate.

I'm pretty sure its designed to fit a Leo 1A4 kit. From that kit I expect you'd keep only the lower hull, tracks, and running gear. Then again, it might be a full-on resin kit with no conversion required. I didn't look too much farther past the $200 price tag :)

Wow... looks good thus far.

If, by chance, you need someone to, say, "beta test" the kit, I would be more than happy to build one of each (Bison, Coyote, TLAV and LAVIII).  ;D I've been eagerly awaiting a LAVIII kit for years now.

With or without holes?  ;D  j/k...

Couldn't resist.

Either way, I wouldn't mind building an Iltis model... still my favourite vehicle to drive.

If there's a Coyote (either RMSS or MSS variant) I'd give it a crack.

Any word on a Leo C2 with or without add on armour. How about the Leo 2A6M Canadian version?

Regards

Hi, not as far as I am aware. I'd like to see a Cdn G-Wagon too. You can get an iltis from Trackjam Models in Canada. It's made of resin and is a bit fiddly.

I saw that one,

Dunno, a bit pricey at $105, and I don't know if it is the picture quality, but it doesn't quite look as good as the Trumpeter product lines.

You're in luck as far as Leopards go.

OK, for the 2A6M Cdn, I'd go with the following:
1. Tamiya Leopard 2A6, kit #35271. <a href="http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/tamiya/tam35271.htm">Leopard 2 A6 review</a>
2. Storm Minatures Leopard 2A6M Canadian Conversion set. <a href="http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=3643">2A6M Cdn Review</a>
3. Eduard Photo-Etch slat armour #36019 <a href="http://www.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=3223">Slat Armour review</a>
4. Echelon Fine Details Leopard 2A6 Cdn markings. <a href="http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/~kriegsketten/D356044.htm">Decals for Cdn 2A6M</a>

You could also get the Barracuda cam nets from Echelon Fine Details, but I am not sure if they are available yet.

And for a leopard C2 in Afghanistan, you can use the following:

1. Revell / Italeri Leopard 1A5. This kit used to be hard to find, but Italeri is re-releasing it this year.
2. Maple Leaf Models #MLM1031 Leopard C2 MEXAS Conversion & MLM1010 C2 Conversion
3. Real Models #RMA 35202 Photo etch detail set for C2 MEXAS
4. Echelon Fine Details LdSH(RC) #D356049 or D356050 or D356051 (They are for 1, 2 and 3 Tp LdSH(RC) for the 2 RCR BG roto in 2006)

Hi, you are right it is pricey. I have one at home and the detail is generally quite good. The tire treads in mine were a bit off, and if you want to nit-pick, they are not the same tread pattern as the ones we used in Canada. Then again, its the only game in town as far as an iltis goes :-\

Well, I guess I better start buying the kits then and re-create my panzer.

Thanks!

Looks like it was made with play dough

near the top of the bottom around 2/3 of ther way down are some LAV 3 and coyote conversion kits

And I had at one point seen a all metal Coyote kit but I cant remember the company any more, but it was really nice and expensive too.

This site has a lot of model stuff too

Thanks!

Glad to help! Some of those leopard bits I mentioned had a lot of tech advice from a couple of LdSH(RC) tank comds (one a Leo C1A1, the other a C2 and 2A6M comd). I'd like to do one of the ex-NL Leos that will become 2A4+...but I think I will wait-out a couple years to see what they actually end up looking like once 202 wksp is done with them.

Love the BFA on the MAG 58, and the 82 Ptrn ruck!

Talk about paying attention to detail.

Even the Jerry can with the red indicator for MOGAS. That Jerry even looks plastic!

Well done!
