    Drill and Ceremonial

What was different with the flag drill, I wasn't really watching. They didn't do a right dress for the Feu-De-Joie; rather they turned and marched into centre and it did look a lot better - it's wrong, though. However, that said I hope they keep doing it the wrong way. Cadets, (and CF members)...

Cdn Cadet OD Slip-on Art work.

Yes, they do. Now only Cadet slip-ons are authorized for wear, this is a somewhat recent development... or atleast a tightening of pre-existing rules.

    Online Courses?

I personally think it's a great idea. Most Cadets out there, at least on the Army side of the house are very lacking in the knowledge they should acquire in the 402 POs. Moreover there is a large amount of information that can be picked up through online courses and it gives the individual a...

    Cadet Freedom of the City

I actually noticed that as well, I e-mailed the mod a few hours ago to get the first one deleted... The first one was saved on my school account so I probably re-registered at home at a later date. Off base there's always a few parades, in 2002 D&C and the Band did a Veteran's memorial in a...

    Cadet Freedom of the City

We did it in 2004, def not in 2001-2006 (other than '04). Before that I have no clue, but would think it would generally occur on years that were a 4 or 9 (anniversary years). That said, it used to be done annually way back when.

    Corps without an RSM.

There has been fairly substatial discussion of this CATO, either here or on CadetWorld? Anyways the CATO in it's literal form is exactly what you have posted; however  I know in RSCU (P) the conclusion has been that this does not determine a Cadet's position as it is far too restricting. Imagine...

ARE SWORDS ALLOWED FOR CEREMONIAL USE BY CADETS??????

... with the ability for exceptions to be granted (I would think Freedom of the Citymay fall into this catagory) I do think it's disheartening that Cenotaph Guards are not armed, however to each Region their own.

ARE SWORDS ALLOWED FOR CEREMONIAL USE BY CADETS??????

Cadets can't carry swords. Why? Because there isn't a CATO authorizing their use. In fact, there are often letters sent out around ACR time reminding unit's swords are not to be used. Moreover Cadets generally will not fill a position that allows a sword to be carried.

    CIC Interview

All of the advice from Wolfmann and everyone else is solid, I just thought I'd quote the above because it is very, very important. In the case of myself and everyone else from my unit the question was actually a situation straight out of the CHAP Facilitator Guide; know what to do in situations...

    Fraternization during summer training

No such rule. May be LHQ based.

    Affiliated Units and Cadet Training

I agree with that, why they're not 6FES right now baffles me alittle bit.

    D&C BLEAKEYS

PRCIs can NOT over rule a CATO. Read the CATOs written by D Cdts and then read the PRCIs written by RSCU (P). It's like saying a provincial law can over rule a federal law (let's just forget the good old NWS clause :p ) PRCIs are intended to augment or futher CATO based regulations. There is...

    Advice: Wear Sunscreen

... and if you're in a water based activity reapply regularly. At RMNACSTC I was doing mountain biking and we crossed a lot of rivers so my sunscrean wore off. The skin on the back of my arms literally started to melt and it could get likes globs of it off myself. Rather gross.

    Multiple cl course?

You're wrong. If you did something very wrong you won't be back but lots of disciplinary RTU Cadets return to CSTCs the next year, hopefully without problem.

    D&C BLEAKEYS

That is wrong, a CSTC can NOT go around the CATOs. a CATO is a lawful order from D Cdts, a CSTC by no stretch of the imagination can go above, around, under, or through a CATO. This is a new rule from the Dress Regs as found in September 2005, as such there should be no clickers in 2006...
