Good to know, one of my friends has applied for RMS clerk as well. I wonder what happens to clerks who start out in one for the other environments and then switch to army. I suppose they would need to do an SQ course.

Curious, on the recruiting site in the details aboaut RMS clerk, it says that after BMQ they go straight on to MOC training, no mention of SQ at all. Are you guys sure she would be doing SQ?

You need to be fluent in either French or English to be in the military  and the CFAT can be taken in either language. Seems fair enough to me.

And military members would want to do this because...? And even if they did, how would they know which occupations require the highest scores? And the highest scores in what part of the test? And for this exercise to have any value at all the free test would have to be very similar to the CFAT...

True enough, and I'll admit that Canada AM has often portrayed the good that Canadian soldiers are doing over there. It just seems sometimes that the news deliberately paints the bleakest picture possible. Perhaps though it stems from not having access to the soldiers to get their stories...
