I'm slightly confused here... I thought all non-Combat Arms trades were already staying for tours of 9months as it is??? Only front-line troops would get 6 month tours? As it stands, we were told at 1CMBG to be prepared for 9 month tours...??? Has anyone done 9 month tours already? I still don't...

Well, been there almost a month now on PRETC and getting the hang of it... In a manner of speaking... So far I've gone on taskings with the Military Police (Fun!), and Med Techs (QL3 training and a QL5 field ex!) - both were interesting and I learned something from each. Also I went rapelling...

Well I believe the May 17th Sig Op course is full to the brim to say the least... Next one is tentatively August 13th! ... See some of you then! I'm suppose to be loaded onto that course. I just hope it doesn't get pushed back to a further date!!!

Yeah when we were dismissed last Thursday, Sgt. *Bleep* said that there were just over 800 people posted in some fashion or another to PRETC, and 51 staff... And most of that is people we don't see obviously... That's just rediculous! They do make a good point of showing that they are doing...

Well I was Reserve Force Infantry for 2 years as of Jan 6 2007 (joined 2005) and I just accepted an offer for Reg Force Sig Op, recieved a BMQ+SQ bypass and a LOT of days counted as in... I'll get my first pay raise a lot sooner than a normal recruit to say the least!!!! I think a huge portion...

I almost forgot to update this thread... Was called March 7th and accepted the offer (of course!) for Sig Op as of March 30th 2007. Report to CFB Borden March 31st 2007! ;D

Well folks, I'll be based at CFB Kingston as of March 31st and probably on Pat Platoon for at least a couple of months, so I'm hoping I'll have the April 14th weekend off, if that's the case, count me in!!! ;D
