Cargo ship hits tanker carrying jet fuel for the US military - March 10th, 2025

Interesting that much of the fwd cargo was comprised of fuel-tank 40TEUs…SBIED anyone?
Nothing to see here, just a totally believable accident with a Russian Captain and key crew being Russian at the time of the collision...

Plowing into a another ship carrying aviation fuel at 16knots, while you are carrying dangerous chemicals, I don't find it surprising.

I couldn’t bring myself to call 12 KTS Ramming Speed ;)
Anyone taking bets that the Ruskie skipper and most of the crew hopped into the lifeboats before contact? HM CG recovered them from the lifeboats, so…. 🤔

I wouldn’t come up to ramming speed on a tanker loaded with Jet Fuel, if I carrying a cargo of sodium cyanide…

You’d probably have abandoned to the lifeboats, and let it carry on?

The Cyanide was confirmed to have been removed prior to the collision. The fuel on the BBIED was said to have been rearranged at the last port as well towards the bow.

I’m happy to wear a tin-foil hat on this one, until proven otherwise. 👍🏼

I don’t even see it as tinfoil, as there just seem to be way too many interesting coincidences to have occurred by chance or incompetence.

Based on other Russian attempts (failed and successful) to sabotage western countries this one isn’t even the most outrageous.
